Dinonylnaphthalenesulfonic Acid Calcium Salt, commonly referred to as T705C, is a high-performance oil-soluble sulfonate-type additive, which is synthesized through the sulfonation reaction of dinonylnaphthalene followed by neutralization and salification with calcium-containing compounds. It has excellent oil solubility and compatibility with various mineral base oils and synthetic lubricating oils, and can also coordinate well with other lubricant additives such as detergents, dispersants, antioxidants and anti-wear agents without causing adverse effects like precipitation or stratification.
In terms of core functions, T705C mainly acts as a detergent and rust inhibitor in lubricant formulations, and also has auxiliary anti-corrosion effects. As a detergent, it can effectively dissolve and disperse the high-temperature deposits, sludge and carbon residues generated during the operation of mechanical equipment, preventing these harmful substances from adhering to the surface of metal parts such as engine pistons, cylinder walls and valve systems, thus maintaining the cleanliness of the lubrication system and the normal operation of equipment.
As a rust inhibitor, it can form a dense and stable adsorption film on the metal surface, isolating the metal from corrosive media such as oxygen, moisture and acidic substances in the lubricating oil, and effectively preventing the rust and corrosion of iron, steel and other metal components. This function is particularly important for equipment working in humid or harsh environments, which can significantly extend the service life of metal parts.
In addition, T705C has good thermal stability and can maintain stable performance even under high-temperature working conditions. It is widely used in the formulation of diesel engine oils, gasoline engine oils, gear oils and industrial lubricants, especially suitable for high-load and high-temperature operating equipment lubrication systems.
