In the friction pairs of mechanical equipment under heavy load, high speed or boundary lubrication conditions, it can react with the metal surface rapidly under the action of friction heat, forming a uniform and dense sulfide protective film. This film can effectively reduce the direct contact between metal surfaces, prevent severe wear, scratch and seizure of friction pairs, and thus protect the precision components of equipment from damage. In addition, it has good compatibility with other lubricant additives such as zinc dialkyldithiophosphate, and can show synergistic effects when used together, further improving the overall performance of lubricating oil.

Sulfurized isobutylene is widely added to gear oils, cutting fluids, hydraulic oils and industrial lubricants, especially suitable for lubrication of heavy-load mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, bearings and metal processing tools, playing an important role in improving the service life of equipment and reducing maintenance costs.
