  • Moisturizing creams and lotions: As an emulsifier and stabilizer, it helps maintain the uniformity of O/W emulsions, preventing oil separation and extending the shelf life of the product. It also contributes to a lightweight, non-greasy finish. The recommended dosage is 0.5%–3.0%.
  • Hair care products: In shampoos and conditioners, it thickens the formula and improves the combability of hair, reducing static and frizz. It also helps stabilize silicone oil and nutrient particles in the formulation, ensuring even distribution on hair strands. The recommended dosage is 1.0%–4.0%.
  • Baby care products: Due to its mildness, it is used in baby shampoos, body washes, and lotions to ensure gentle cleansing and care without irritating the delicate skin of infants. The recommended dosage is 0.5%–2.0%.

Storage and Safety

1. Storage conditionsStore PEG-150 Distearate in a sealed container, placed in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight and high temperatures (avoid storage above 40°C). Prevent moisture absorption and caking of the powder form. Under proper storage conditions, its shelf life is generally 12–24 months.
2. Safety instructionsPEG-150 Distearate is not classified as a hazardous chemical, and it is not listed in the Chinese Hazardous Chemicals List (2023 Edition). During operation, avoid inhaling dust or fumes to prevent respiratory discomfort. If it accidentally contacts the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water. For routine handling, wearing protective gloves is recommended.
