This structure effectively traps insoluble components such as titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, pearl powder, plant extracts, and oil droplets, preventing their sedimentation or floating and maintaining the long-term uniformity of the product. At the same time, it has a mild thickening effect, which can adjust the product’s viscosity without making the texture sticky or heavy.

Good compatibility and wide adaptabilityIt exhibits excellent compatibility with anionic, non-ionic, amphoteric surfactants, as well as common cosmetic additives like humectants, emollients, and preservatives. It has a wide pH adaptation range (usually pH 4.0–8.5), and its suspending performance remains stable under acidic or weakly alkaline conditions, making it suitable for various types of cosmetic formulations.

It does not require high-temperature heating during the production process, which helps retain the activity of heat-sensitive ingredients and simplifies the production operation.

Main Applications

• Sunscreen productsIt is a core additive in physical sunscreen lotions and creams. It can stably suspend titanium dioxide and zinc oxide particles, preventing them from settling at the bottom of the product and ensuring uniform sun protection coverage when applied. The recommended dosage is generally 0.2%–1.0%.
• Facial masks and exfoliating productsIn mud masks, peel-off masks, and exfoliating scrubs, TAB-2 can suspend natural mineral powders, fruit acid particles, and scrub beads. It ensures the even distribution of functional components in the formulation and prevents particle aggregation, making the product texture smooth and easy to apply. The recommended dosage ranges from 0.3%–1.2%.
• Body care productsFor body lotions, shower gels with pearl luster, and body scrubs, it can suspend pearl powder, plant essential oils, and scrub particles, maintaining the product’s appearance consistency and improving the sensory experience during use. The recommended dosage is 0.2%–0.8%.
• Hair care productsIn hair masks, conditioners, and styling products, TAB-2 can suspend silicone oil droplets, plant extracts, and nutrient particles. It helps these components adhere evenly to the hair strands, enhancing the conditioning and nourishing effects, while preventing the product from stratifying during storage. The recommended dosage is 0.1%–0.6%.
• Other cosmetic formulationsIt is also applicable to liquid foundations with mineral pigments, BB creams, and hand creams containing insoluble active ingredients, playing a role in stabilizing the formulation and improving product quality.

Storage and Safety

1. Storage conditionsStore TAB-2 in a sealed container, placing it in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated environment away from direct sunlight and high temperatures (avoid storage above 40°C). Prevent moisture absorption and caking of the powder form. Under proper storage conditions, the shelf life is usually 12–24 months.
2. Safety instructionsTAB-2 is not a hazardous chemical and is safe for cosmetic production and use. During operation, avoid inhaling the powder to prevent respiratory discomfort. If it accidentally contacts the eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water. It is non-irritating to the skin under normal usage concentrations.
