Alkyl Polyglycoside APG0810 is a type of non-ionic surfactant synthesized from renewable raw materials (natural fatty alcohols with carbon chain lengths of C8–C10 and glucose derived from starch). It is typically a colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid or paste at room temperature, with excellent water solubility.
APG0810 stands out for its unique combination of advantages: it has the high surface activity of non-ionic surfactants and the good solubility and thickening properties similar to anionic surfactants. Its core strengths include outstanding mildness, low irritation to the skin and eyes, excellent biodegradability (biodegradation rate over 98%), and compatibility with anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants. It also exhibits stable performance under acidic, alkaline, and high-salt conditions, along with good foaming, emulsifying, wetting, and dispersing capabilities.
- Facial cleansers and body washes: APG0810 is a key ingredient in mild, skin-friendly cleansing products. It generates rich, fine, and stable foam, effectively removing dirt and excess oil without disrupting the skin’s natural lipid barrier. It is ideal for sensitive skin, dry skin, and baby care products, leaving the skin soft and non-tight after washing.
- Shampoos and hair conditioners: It serves as a mild cleansing and conditioning component. It reduces scalp irritation caused by traditional surfactants, alleviates dryness and itching, and improves the combability of hair, making it smooth and glossy. It is widely used in amino acid shampoos, anti-dandruff shampoos, and high-end hair care formulations.
- Oral care products: It is added to toothpastes and mouthwashes as a foaming agent and cleaning auxiliary. It enhances the cleaning effect on teeth and oral mucosa, has low irritation to the oral cavity, and is compatible with fluoride and other active ingredients.
- Dishwashing liquids: APG0810 is used in low-irritation dishwashing products. It has strong emulsifying ability for grease, effectively removes food residues and oil stains on tableware, and is gentle on hands, reducing dryness and roughness caused by long-term contact with detergents.
